"Unoe, put down your bag and help me with this." poor Irrae's arms ached from digging the Chest up. the grass surrounding them was littered with dirt and rocks from the ground. Unoe did as he was asked and they both heaved the buried chest onto stable ground.
Irrae examined the lock "This metal is Dragon-made. chances of breaking this open are little." he said however Unoe has other ideas "its handles and base are Dragon Metal but the chest's main material is wood if you haven't noticed." he raised his axe and caved in the roof of the box.
He then threw it down and they looked in closely. inside they found a smaller dagger forged in gold and engraved in Rubies, Unoe was mesmerised "By Armok... it is Lord Urist's blade alright" he gasped, they sat in awe for a moment at the beauty of they blade; its features were sharp and the blade's handle was shaped as a Dragon's head eating the blade.
"I will keep it safe in my bag. it has some soft blankets in it to keep it safe." said Unoe reaching for the Blade.
"Why should you keep it?"
"I have a bag and you don't maybe?" he grasped the Blade and went to put it in his bag
"Unoe, i am better at protecting it."
"We better leave now. sooner or later Night will fall and we better be as far as we can from this chest when the Night Creatures discover we have taken the Blade."
"I have a sword, you have a rusted Dagger you stole from a peasant the other day. what chance do you have at protecting it?"
"A better chance than you, we better move." Unoe stood up and heaved his back onto his back, Irrae however drew his sword "I want the blade Unoe" his expression had gone into a sour frown "I am warning you, i'll take your bag thank you."
Unoe's hand slowly drifted towards his Dagger, his chances were little but his speed was his only hope "We need not fight Irrae, We swore to deliver this to Lord Urist or are you yet again breaking an Oath?" He slowly drew his dagger.
his friend chuckled before him "Oaths are for Oathkeepers. the World is evil and is full of evil people who are Oathbreakers." he swung his sword and it was met by both Unoe's Dagger and the Dragon Dagger "Traitor!" Unoe cried as his rusted Dagger slid down the sword and sliced Irrae's hand open, he cried in pain and nearly lost hold of his sword.
With his unblooded hand he swung again and again but Unoe's speed was doing well to avoid the swings, Unoe dived under the sword and sliced deep into the lower body of Irrae. his body spilled onto the ground when Unoe stood infront of the falling Irrae "Irrae of the House Harrowsmith, you have broken an Oath sworn to your Lord. Sleep Well" Unoe cried as he thrust the Dragon Dagger into Irrae's head. the fallen body collapsed onto the ground, dead.
