I did start reading this book around 2013, but i left it around Chapter 4 when i started reading Harry Potter etc. again. I have heard lots of mixed reviews about this, and i can understand why because of people complaining it isn't as good as Potter. But i have read some Spoiler-Free reviews online which say it is more of a Psychological Story where all these people have flaws and bad points. some people even said they hated pretty much every character in it. so i look forward to it!
2.The Tolkien Books: The Lord of the Rings
Since reading Game of Thrones, my view and expectations of Fantasy have gone up by a large proportion, and i somewhat expect the World in the Book to be fleshed out on a massive scale. my view is the Book should bend around the World and not the other way round. So the only Series in my opinion which fulfils this is of course Lord of the Rings. i have read it 3 times in one go, and a few hundred times just randomly picking the Two Towers and reading from there. I have tried delving into the Wheel of Time and the Belgariad Series, but i generally hated how they were written. so i often come back to Tolkien. After a Casual Vacancy, i will most likely go straight onto this Series!
3. A Song of Ice and Fire: A Clash of Kings
A Clash of Kings is the second Novel in A Song of Ice and Fire. I read the first Novel (Game of Thrones) back in July 2014 but paused when i saw the size of this monster. I personally think this is going to be the last book on my list i'll read. i think i might reread the first novel to get a feel for the plot again, plus i want to read the parts which i skimmed through *cough* Bran. Knowing how slow i am at when reading, i doubt i will finish A Song of Ice and Fire this year, or the next. But it is one of my goals to read the entire Series how ever long it might take.
Holy Bejesus this Book... i tried reading it, but i couldn't bear how annoying the writing style was. but this year i am dedicated to reading the Book, even if it kills me (probably will). I am not writing much about it here becuase i really don't want to research it and spoil it :D and yes... i am prone to reading the Wikipedia about what happens. As for when i will read it, i roughly think i might read it after Lord of the Rings. It doesn't take me long to read it (roughly a Month for the entire series).
