Most recently i have worked on Galaxy, then Kingdom, then several itterations of an Item System. now i am back to the idea of a Town Sim. but now i can actually make it into something without it being stupid and Broken.
I have now planned out what the Simulation is going to be, there is a basic process of what a 'Peon' does which i have layed out below.
This is a pretty bare version of a 'Day in the Life of a Peon' scenario, for example the day starts off with the Peon deciding if he/she is fit to goto work, if they are hungry they will go regardless, if they are ill, they will be forced to stay at home.
It is a straight forward process, but because there are several version of this going on in different forms, like Disasters, Plague, Pregnancy etc. it makes the system seem more Random. which in turn makes it more believable. in the words of the Doctor, "Travelling in a Straight line if Quicker, but no where near the most fun!". The Idea is set, a basic Simulation with some complex mechanics running every turn.
