So Galaxy is sort of a thing right now, and i am working on bits and pieces to see how they work, i have tried to make Planet Generation work and is going well, but in this post i would like to give you some ideas of what i would like to work on.
- Buildable Ship
This is a good idea and i have mostly driven the Concept into working code, but giving the Rooms an interface is a challenge. eventually i would like to have bits of the Ship upgradable for example you can upgrade a MkI Thruster to a MkII for a few hundred Credits. i am not sure how they will affect the game but it would be good to be able to do things like this which can potentially make things more customizable.
This would be a really tricky aspect, giving NPCs AI in Text-Based form sounds like a piece of cake but underneath you need to display all the considerations and make them think logically, but instead i might just IF price >= worth then TRADE goods.
- Planet Generation
I would like this, but the likelyhood of it effectively working is another thing, sure i could have a load of Text Files which contain the data but then again i need to be able to read them which i am not very good at, i might make another more organised version of what i had with Kingdom, a class full of preexisting Planets.
- Random Events
I would like these to occur when travelling between travelling to different planets and systems, they range from Pirates to Supernovas, with Supernovas you will have to travel to a system with one near it which is pretty rare but when you hit a Supernova you might just lose a few things.
