i started work on Placeable Furniture, but it was delayed by some Housing
bugs. I originally made the Class extend the original House template but for some reason
it did not take in that it was there, and displayed null when ever i called it’s name.
After this i used a System i tried to make before, i used a 2 Dimensional Array to layout
a Townscape, so i could then set where things were and make the Player move one place at a time, this was
a much easier way, then i could make a single Building class and then extend all of the
Buildings from that, then having about 5 different Building sub templates. Now that i had
a Town Layout i started to make the link between each location, for this i made a Loop in
the main class, it would repeatedly display “Where will you Go?” and then some information about the current location and then the locations North South East and West of the Player. for example when the Player entered a command like N for North then it would move North
if nothing was blocking it and then perform any actions that specific location does. I have tried this method many times before but now i did it to the standard i originally specified when i first came up with it.
Also i worked on the Starting Room Algorithm, it is a 4x4 structure which generates around the Player, it is made out of stone and has very basic collision detection.
